Abbey Prayer Group

To give glory and praise to God and to work for the building of God's Kingdom in our city. To help each other draw deeper into union with God, that we might know his will for our lives and be obedient to it. Activities: Spending time as a Body of people in praise worship and fellowship. Operating in the charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit as far as possible. Studying the scriptures together. Teaching on Spiritual matters. Organising an afternoon of praise and adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament with the opportunity for healing prayer once a month in the city, i.e. St. Joseph's Church, Nechells. Organising a Mass with opportunity for prayer for healing in the Abbey Church once a month on the second Tuesday evening in each month. Running 'Life in the Spirit' teaching seminars in different parishes throughout Erdington and the city of Birmingham. Organising night vigils in the Divine Love Community house when there are urgent needs to pray for.
