What's Happening in our Cluster?

ETERNAL REWARDS OF DIVINE MERCY

Please see information from David Day, promoting the Divine Mercy devotion. Our Cluster celebrates Divine Mercy Day the Sunday after Easter Sunday in either St Peter and Paul, or St Mary and John Church.

Divine Mercy Devotion is growing globally due to an ever-increasing number of healing miracles and personal testimonies of our Loving and Merciful, Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ. Many of these can be found through Google and YouTube by using search terms such as 'Divine Mercy Miracles.' Approved by Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, The Diary of Saint Faustina, 'Divine Mercy in My Soul' details many supernatural experiences and conversations with Jesus and Mary. In accordance with His directives, Saint Faustina recorded Jesus' dictations regarding His End Times Prophesy, Divine Mercy Devotions, and many other revelations concerning our Spiritual Wellbeing, and our End Times Duties. The Diary of Saint Faustina is now available to purchase https://divinemercyapostolate.co.uk/

Image of Divine Mercy -The first devotion Jesus gave to St Faustina was through His command for the painting of The Image of Divine Mercy, as featured on page one. The Image has been steadily improved over the years, as technology, art, graphic design techniques and printing methods have evolved.

Jesus offers this image as a vessel with which to keep coming for divine graces and promised that those who venerate the image will not perish. He promised victory over enemies here on earth, especially at the hour of death. The image is also a reminder of the demands of His mercy, because even the strongest faith is of no avail without works. These demands are three-fold, mercy to our neighbours in deed, word, and spirit, which includes prayer as the most accessible and rewarding of the three.

Chaplet of Divine Mercy -Jesus is pleased to give anything asked through recitation of the chaplet and great graces are available to all who trustfully recite it, and they will be embraced by God's mercy during their lifetime and especially at the hour of death.Priests are to recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation, for Jesus to fill their souls with peace, so their hour of death will be a happy one. If the chaplet is recited at the bedside of a dying person, unfathomable mercy envelops the soul, and Jesus stands between His Father and the dying person, not as Just Judge, but as their Merciful Savior.

Instructions on how to recite The Chaplet of Divine Mercy can be found using Google or YouTube etc. It only takes six minutes to recite on the rosary beads and can be practiced by or for anybody; family members, groups of souls, and for our own personal intentions or needs. While reciting The Chaplet it's possible to call to mind the faces of loved ones or other people in need of prayer, world issues, our own needs, or even meditate on the sufferings Jesus endured for our salvation, for which additional graces are promised. It's possible to recite the chaplet anytime or place; on waking, whilst walking, to and from church, queuing for groceries, waiting for an appointment, and before sleeping, for example.

Feast of Divine Mercy -Jesus promised complete pardon, forgiveness of sins and punishment to all attending Confession and receiving Holy Communion on the day of The Feast, which is celebrated every year in Catholic churches on the First Sunday after Easter Sunday. As per Jesus' directives, The Feast was introduced by Pope John Paul II in April 2000, when Saint Faustina was canonised the first saint of the new millennium. Miraculously, Saint John Paul II died on the evening of Divine Mercy Sunday in 2005, just after the vigil mass celebrating Saint Faustina's canonisation was celebrated at his bedside.

Prayer of Divine Mercy -Jesus also provided a short, powerful prayer for the conversion of sinners. "O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You." Jesus will grant the grace of the conversion of some sinner, if said with a contrite heart and with faith.

Rewards of Divine Mercy -Divine Mercy includes the many spiritual and providential blessings Lord Jesus freely gives, as well as His forgiveness, and the eternal rewards He promises. These are obtained through trusting and loving Lord Jesus, by studying and practising the word of God in The Holy Bible, regularly and respectfully receiving the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confession, and through loving our neighbours, by practising works of mercy in deed, word and spirit. Eternal rewards are attained for the labour, hardship and patience exercised and His rewards can also be gained by offering up to God our own sufferings, for the salvation of other souls, by uniting our own trials with the terrible sufferings Jesus endured for our salvation. Sharing these Divine Mercy Devotions and His Message of Divine Mercy are highlighted as the being the most beneficial and infinitely rewarding deeds of mercy.
