Welcome to our April Newsletter and take a look at our latest KYT VIDEO, 'Called to Serve'. This is a great testament to the fabulous Altar Servers Retreat last term. A huge thanks to our clergy and parish leaders who worked so hard to bring their parish altar servers together and for ensuring they had the most incredible weekend having so much fun whilst sharing their love of serving and developing their faith with 'Holy" friends .
Last chance to book onto the KYT RECONNECT Day! An opportunity to bring young people together from your parish and spend time together on this adventure packed day at Alton Towers Theme Park, followed by Mass and BBQ on the lawns of our Pugin castle. Saturday May 11th is a day not to be missed. We are subsidising this day for parishes to RECONNECT with young people . Calling all young adults 18-29 wishing to build a community where the freedom to discover and share faith together is paramount. Join us as we explore the real and relevant topics that challenge us in our faith in a safe and inclusive environment.

ITS HERE!!  FLAME 2025 'UNSTOPPABLE'
Flame is a Catholic Congress held in London at the Wembley Arena on March 15th. The event consists of a concert with praise and worship, talks and creative inputs from celebrities and renowned Catholic speakers from all over the world. Young people from parishes and schools all over the country head to Flame every year, so why not sign up to journey and sit together in the Arena with our Archbishop and Diocesan contigent. 
Booking through Kenelm gives you the best rate on tickets, as well as return coach transport from key areas  in our Diocese.

Bethsaida has successfully supported volunteers and led to the opening of over 60 parish youth groups  across the diocese.  The next course begins Wednesday April 24th .
If you would like to begin a youth group in your parish and gain the tools and knowledge to begin parish youth ministry then please feel most welcome to join us on zoom for 5 consecutive wednesdays 7pm - 9pm

Our brand new Resource VITAL launches on April 22nd on zoom.
Come and find out more at 7pm. VITAL is for your parish /school if you have young people aged 14+ with leadership potential. VITAL  has been piloted in school and has worked successfully to bridge the gap between school and parish life. It is a six week course and includes a project aimed at linking school with the parish community. VITAL is fun and it is a lively and  is an interactive training course encompassing many life skills as well as building confidence and developing new and existing skills.

Our Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course is certified by Mental Health England and is for everyone who works with, lives with or supports young people aged 8-18. Learn the skills and confidence to spot the signs of mental health issues in a young person, offer first aid and guide them towards the support they need. This course is a must for those in parish or school ministry

Next in person course Daytime: May 15/16 from 9am - 5pm

Next course on zoom is April 25th, 26th May 2nd, 3rd 7pm - 9.30pm

We are hosting a retreat for past team members on the 19th – 21st of April! It’s going to be an amazing experience for volunteers from different teams and years to get to know one another, share in praise and worship, expand on networking, share experiences, reconnect and learn and socialise with one another!
The theme of the retreat is “Cornerstone”. TALKS by  Fr Toby Duckworth&Victoria Hamilton
The last day to sign in is on the 15th of April, through THIS form.
Our young mission team are fundraising to join the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes! They will be covering the entire distance from Alton to Lourdes in 48 hours on May 3rd-5th by swimming the distance of the channel (21 miles/ 33.6km) Walking/ running/ cycling the land distance (909.75 miles/ 1455.6km). 
All of it will be posted on KYT’s Instagram in real time, so make sure to be tuned in for it!

Every summer, Kenelm and Life Teen UK host a summer camp for young people aged 12-18 from across the country.

Summer camp lasts a week and involves a range of exciting activities. The camp is based at Alton Castle, making use of the activities Alton Castle have on site, visiting the nearby theme park Alton Towers, as well as heading off to a variety of different places for fun and games.
Alongside this, summer camp provides spaces and times for prayer, adoration and for young Catholics to connect and gather together. 

So if you’re aged 12-18, and you’d like to join, we can't wait to see you there. We will do out best to get you in.

KYT are partnering with the St. Francis Malawi Trust to offer an opportunity for 20 young adults to work on their social action project in Lillongwe and the surrounding area. Our group will be working in schools, teaching lessons, working in health clinics, learning about the impact of climate change on the local community and some of the prjects famers and engaged in. We will also be helping to  run a feeding programme and creating a sustainable garden in the primary school. By donating to the St. Francis Malawi Trust 100% of the money will be going to the mission to provide food and life saving medicines to the health clinic. Please support us HERE

Congratulations to students from BGN who have completed their JPII Awards. We are so proud of them for giving their time to: work in charity shops, become acolytes in their parish as well as cleaning the church and leading the rosary amongst some of their hours given to their parish and local community.
